What we collect directly

Nothing. There is no form on this site, no account to create, no newsletter to join and no comment box. If you email us, we have your email address and whatever you wrote in it, because you sent it.

Our sister site runs an email signup. This one does not yet. If one is added here, this page gets updated in the same change that adds it.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people read which pages. It is cookieless: it sets nothing on your device and does not build a profile of you across sites or across visits. There is no Google Analytics here and no advertising pixel of any kind.

What it records is aggregate and ordinary: which page was requested, the referring site, rough country, device type and page load speed. We cannot identify an individual from it, and neither can Cloudflare.

Hosting, and what a web server necessarily sees

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like every web server on the internet, it processes your IP address and browser user agent in order to send you the page at all, and Cloudflare uses that to block attacks and abuse. That processing is Cloudflare's, under their own privacy policy, and we have no access to those logs.

Stored on your device

One item, and it is not a cookie: your answer to the age check, kept in session storage so you are not asked again on every page. It is cleared when you close the tab and it is never transmitted anywhere. The cookie notice covers this in more detail.

Links and affiliate links

Links to dispensaries, clinics, statutes and state resources go to sites we do not control, each with its own privacy practices.

Where this site carries affiliate links, following one tells that retailer you arrived from here, which is how any commission is attributed. That happens at the retailer under their policy, and it sends them nothing about you that your own visit to their site would not.

Children

This site is for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, and certainly not from children.

Your rights

Florida and several other states give residents rights over their personal information: to know what is held, to have it deleted, and not to have it sold.

We hold no personal information about readers, so in practice there is nothing to request and nothing to delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence removed, ask and we will remove it. We do not sell personal information and never have.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is when that last happened. A policy describing practices the site no longer follows is worse than no policy at all, so this page moves with the change and never behind it.
