Why there is no banner

Consent banners exist because most sites set advertising and cross-site-tracking cookies the moment you arrive. This one does not. Reading any page here sets nothing.

Our sister site carries an optional email signup which loads a third-party form on click. This site has no signup form at all yet, so even that exception does not apply here. If one is added, this page gets updated in the same change.

What is stored on your device

One thing, and it is not a cookie.

• The age check. When you confirm you are 21 or over, the answer is saved in your browser's session storage under `age-ok` so you are not asked again on every page. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab, it is never sent to us or to anyone else with a request, and it contains nothing but the fact that you answered

That is the complete list. Closing the tab removes it.

Analytics, and why they need no cookie

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people read which pages. It is cookieless by design: it sets nothing on your device and builds no profile of you across sites or across visits. There is no Google Analytics on this site.

What it records is aggregate and ordinary: page address, referring site, rough country, device type and load speed. We cannot identify you from it and neither can Cloudflare.

Links to other people's sites

Every dispensary link, state registry link and statute link on this site goes somewhere we do not control. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies, and this notice stops at our edge.
