Medical Marijuana Doctors in Fort Myers and Lee County
Fort Myers is where most of this county's certifying physicians actually practise. The state republishes the full list every Friday as a PDF covering the whole of Florida; this is the Lee County part of it, kept current and searchable.
Why the search usually ends here
Of the certifying physicians the state lists for Lee County, the clear majority practise in Fort Myers itself. The rest are spread thinly across Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Lehigh Acres, Estero, Alva and Bokeelia, mostly in ones and twos. If you live anywhere in the county and want a choice of appointment rather than whoever can fit you in, Fort Myers is realistically where you are going.
The exact figures are printed with the list below and come straight from the state file, so they change when it does. We have not typed them into this sentence for that reason.
Before you call
Being on this list means one thing: the Department of Health has qualified that physician to certify patients. It is not a recommendation. It does not say they are taking new patients, that they practise near you, or that they will certify you. Only a qualified physician can decide that, and only after examining you.
Your first certification has to be in person. Fla. Stat. 381.986(4)(a) requires the initial examination to be face to face. Telehealth becomes an option later, for renewals with the same physician. That is why the national "get your card online today" services cannot serve a first-time Florida patient, and why a local list is the useful one.
Ask what it costs when you call. We publish no clinic pricing anywhere on this site. It varies between practices, it changes without notice, and a figure printed here is one somebody would budget against. Ask what an initial certification costs and ask separately what a renewal costs, because they are usually different amounts.
Check the location before you book. Several entries share a practice address, and a few list a billing address rather than the room you will be seen in. Confirm where the appointment actually is, particularly if the drive is from the far side of the county.

Source: Florida Department of Health, Office of Medical Marijuana Use Qualified Physician List, republished weekly. We reproduce it as published — where an address or phone number is missing or incomplete, it is missing in the state's own file.
How this list is kept
It is rebuilt automatically from the state's own file every Friday, so it should never be more than a week behind the source. The date it was drawn from is printed above the list instead of hidden, and the build refuses to ship if the data goes stale.
We reproduce what the state publishes, including its gaps. Some entries carry no phone number. Those are missing in the state's own file and were not lost on the way here. Where a listing looks wrong, the authoritative source is the Department of Health, and its qualified physician search will confirm any individual licence.
The order is alphabetical by city and then by name. That is deliberate and it is not a ranking. We do not rate or rank licensed professionals, for the same reason this site carries no star ratings on dispensaries either. If you spot something out of date, tell us.
The card guide covers qualifying conditions, the four steps and what the state charges. Worth reading before you book an appointment.
This page reproduces a public state record. It is not medical or legal advice, it is not a recommendation of any physician, and inclusion here is not an endorsement. Nobody pays to appear on this list or to appear higher on it.
